We’ll be at the OCH Art Market this Saturday from 10-3, with a special holiday menu of baked goods, soups, and other tasty dishes. Maïs Arepas and the Fat Falafel food truck will both be serving up food as well, so there will be a lot of options to choose from. We’ll be posting our menu later this week.
Our autumn dinner takes place this Saturday, from 5-9 p.m., at the house and gardens of Lili and Miles. There will be covered outdoor seating, but please bring a blanket if you’d like to sit outside on the grass. The wonderful Ramblin’ Letters will be providing music. Please let us know you’re coming, either at our Facebook Event Page, or by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Next Saturday, 10/10, we’ll be serving food at the OCH Art Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Faubourg Lafayette Historic Home Tour takes place at the same time, along with the O. C. Haley Boulevard Main Street Festival. All three events are free and open to the public.
The following weekend, we’re be in Mid-City on Saturday evening, 11/17, for our autumn TSAI House event. We’re excited about returning to this wonderful home and garden, and the menu that we’re putting together.
Check back in soon for details.
We’re excited to be hosting a TSAI House event this Sunday, with music provided by Leyla McCalla. Check in again in the next couple of days for the menu and event details. Please RSVP for the event by emailing email@example.com or by letting us know on the Facebook event page. Thank you.
After growing up in New York City, Haitian-American cellist, banjoist, and guitarist Leyla McCalla is now based in New Orleans. She has recently performed at Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival and the 2012 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Currently touring with the Carolina Chocolate Drops, McCalla is also affiliated with Morgan O’Kane, Magnolia Beacon, and Sarah Quintana. Beyond being a musician, she is a composer, poet, and avid fan of Langston Hughes. McCalla has been compared to jazz singer and pianist Nina Simone and Haitian singer Emeline Michel.
We have pictures from our TSAI House event last Sunday in the Marigny here. We also recently agreed to be the primary food vendor at the OCH Art Market on the second Saturday of every month from now through the end of 2012, so please visit us there starting this Saturday to eat our food, refresh yourself with our delicious beverages, and to see the improvements being made to both the space we’re working out of as well as to OC Haley Boulevard as a whole. The corridor has come a long way in just the last couple of years, and we’re excited to be a part of it.
